About Interact club

Who Are We

Established in March of 2024, the Interact Club of Oberoi International School, OGC is a Rotary-Sponsored Club under the Rotary Club of South Bombay (SOBO).

Presently consisting of 45 dedicated students from grades 6 to 10, we plan and execute a variety of initiatives addressing local and global challenges including healthcare and education.

Inspiring Learning Journey

Foreign Language

Introduce children to a new language through songs, games, and interactive activities, fostering early communication skills and cultural awareness.

Taekwondo

Promotes discipline, focus, and physical coordination through fun martial arts exercises suitable for young children.

Football

Develops teamwork, gross motor skills, and healthy competition in an age-appropriate, playful environment.

Yoga

Supports balance, flexibility, mindfulness, and self-regulation through gentle, child-friendly yoga practices.

Visual Art Workshops

Workshops conducted at orphanages, daycares, and rescue homes where children engaged in creative expression through canvas painting, customising stationery, and decorative crafts. Activities often centered around aspirations, self-expression, and confidence building, with children sharing their artwork and ideas in group circles

Career Exploration Programmes

Career Exploration Programmes involving guest speaker sessions from professional in various field (Ex-Military, Medicine, Teaching, Law, etc.) and aspirations-focused sessions involving activities like letter to my future self, goal mapping worksheets, etc to help children understand their passions, and build a growth oriented mindset

Language & Social Skills

Workshops aimed at improving communication, collaboration, and emotional expression. These included English learning workshops, kindness development workshops and social-emotional learning through activities like bingo.

Donation Drives

We organize donation drives to gather essential items such as clothes, books, toys, food, and sanitary products. Contributions are distributed directly to individuals and families in need, ensuring dignity and relief.

Fundraisers

Our fundraisers celebrate community by showcasing handcrafted items from local artisans alongside everyday food. Each purchase supports both the makers and our social initiatives, creating a cycle of empowerment, sustainability, and shared responsibility
